Can I do a half day?

No. Our Auckland Kite Fishing Tours operate only as a full day tour. This is to ensure that we have enough time to give you every chance of actually catching some fish!

No. We will teach you everything you need to know.

How long are your Kite Fishing Tours?
|
Our Full Day Tours are 8 hours (9:00 to 17:00);

What do I need to bring on the Kite Fishing tour?
|
For all our tours please bring clothes suitable for the changing NZ weather conditions on the day. We recommend in addition:
- Spare clothes to change into in case you get wet (especially for Kite Fishing but also for our other tours including Kayaking & Kayak Fishing)
- A sunhat (or warm hat in winter), sunscreen and sunglasses
- Your camera with LOTS of battery and memory space!
- Swimming gear (for Kayaking, Kayak Fishing & Kite Fishing but also possible for other tours)
- A smile!

What do you provide on your Kite Fishing Tours?
|
We provide everything for your Auckland Kite Fishing Tour incl all transport from and to your accommodation in Auckland city, lunch (full & overnight tours), snacks, hot/cold drinks. We also supply you with all equipment as required for each tour. This includes for example extensive safety equipment such as communication equipment and Personal Locator Beacons to maximise our safety in all situations.

What do your Kite Fishing Tours cost?
|
Full Day Auckland Kite Fishing Tours cost NZ$295 per person.
Discounts offered for multi-person bookings – see “Book Online Now”. Please note that our tours are highly personal and we include transport, a full lunch (full day tours) plus snacks and hot/cold drink on our various Kite Fishing Tours.

What fish can I catch?
|
We often catch fish such as Snapper, Kahawai (NZ Sea Salmon), Gurnard, Trevally, John Dory and even the mighty Kingfish.

What happens if it rains or the weather is bad?
|
Our Auckland Kite Fishing Tours are weather dependent and we do watch out for suitable weather to go ahead with our Kite Fishing Tours. If for any reason we deem the weather to be unsuitable (a bit of rain is not such a reason), then we may cancel a tour and give you the choice between a full refund and postponement of a tour to another day.

What if I am on my own?
|
Unlike many other guided tours, we don’t exclude you if you are alone. We are happy to take bookings from one person but may have minimum numbers for a tour to go ahead. Please ask us and we will be happy to help!

We pride ourselves in offering small and very personal tour experiences. Our guide to client ratio is usually max 1 to 10 and in many cases it's even less at 1 to 6 guests. This is to keep it all really personal and also for safety reasons. In any case, we ensure that we offer highly personal tours that create lasting great memories.

Where do you go?
|
Auckland Kite Fishing Tours: For Kite Fishing we need an offshore wind direction. Luckily for us (and for you), we have some of the world’s most beautiful beaches on our West Coast (in some wind conditions) and on our east coast (in other wind conditions). So wherever we go, we can show you not only this amazing form of fishing but also from a breathtaking beach!
